Nio's 150-kWh semi-solid-state battery supplier is Beijing-based WeLion, and investments from Xiaomi and Huawei are due to bullishness about Nio's support for the company, local media said.

This is the second power replenishment line Nio has opened this week under the Power Up Plan, and at least the 14th so far this year.

This is Nio's latest innovation in regulating the supply and demand of batteries, enabling the needs of more users who temporarily need to use 100-kWh long-range battery packs to be met.

As of November 25, Nio has 647 battery swap stations, 130 of which are located along highways. It also has 489 supercharging stations, providing 2,840 charging piles.

Nio and Shell plan to jointly install 100 swap stations in China by 2025 and operate pilot stations in Europe starting in 2022. Shell's charging network in Europe will also be available to Nio users.

As of today, Nio owners have reached 150,000. Notably, as of October 31, the cumulative delivery of all Nio vehicles was 145,703 units.

The first model it produces will see a tooling trial prototype roll off the line in the second quarter of 2022, with the production car coming off the line in the third quarter of next year.

Nio today put into operation two battery swap stations at oil giant CNPC's gas stations.

Nio has a strong product cycle in 2022, including three new models and three face-lifts to be launched, Citi said.

The line begins in Harbin and ends up in Mohe Arctic Village, the northernmost location in China.
