At a time when the cost of fossil fuels is skyrocketing and sustainability is becoming increasingly important, Latin American consumers are eager for greener vehicles, Geely Auto said.

Zeekr's deliveries in January fell from the previous month, but fared better than its main peers.

The new Zeekr 001 will use Zeekr's in-house developed Golden Battery based on LFP chemistry.

Zeekr extends price discounts introduced in August 2023 for the Zeekr 001 and offers new benefits including a RMB 10,000 final payment reduction.

The starting price of the upgraded Zeekr 009 has risen by about $140, but makes a number of settings previously available as paid options standard.

The 2024 Zeekr X eliminates the previous, lower-priced entry-level version and retains the other two versions, but at reduced prices.

Zeekr aims to deliver more than 230,000 vehicles in 2024, doubling from 2023, a company spokesperson told CnEVPost.

Zeekr's 200,000th vehicle delivered was the Zeekr 007, which hit the market on December 27, and the milestone means it has delivered 3,367 vehicles so far this month.

Zeekr will launch the right-hand drive versions of the Zeekr 009 and Zeekr X in Singapore, with deliveries starting in the third quarter of 2024.

For the full year 2023, Zeekr delivered 118,685 vehicles, a 64.98 percent increase year-on-year.
