Zeekr, the premium electric vehicle (EV) subsidiary of Geely Holding Group, has entered into a partnership with Autohub Group, a Philippine dealer, to further expand its international presence.

Zeekr and Autohub signed the partnership agreement on March 4 in Hangzhou, where the Chinese EV maker is headquartered, according to a statement today.

Zeekr will launch the Zeekr 001 and Zeekr X in the Philippines, with local pre-sales and deliveries of both battery electric vehicle (BEV) models expected to begin in the second quarter.

The first Zeekr Space in the Philippines will officially open in the first half of 2024, located in Manila's business and financial center area, according to the company.

Zeekr is entering international markets like a number of other Chinese car companies, though it has built directly-managed stores in some overseas markets and partnered with local dealers in others.

The company entered the European market in June 2023 and began delivering vehicles there in December. Zeekr has built several directly operated stores in Europe.

Outside of Europe, Zeekr has entered several other markets, including Kazakhstan, Singapore, and the Middle East, though primarily through partnerships with local dealers.

Zeekr will have a cumulative presence in six European countries by 2024, and it expects its international presence to reach eight countries and territories by 2025, the company previously said.

Zeekr delivered 118,685 vehicles in 2023, an increase of 64.98 percent year-on-year.

Zeekr's goal for 2024 is to deliver 230,000 vehicles, double from 2023, a company spokesperson told CnEVPost in January.
