As the core highlight of this upgrade, the new model comes standard with BYD's latest second-generation Blade Battery and the newest flash charging technology across all variants.

The plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) model features a battery pack capacity of 75.3 kilowatt-hours, and under the CLTC standard, its pure electric range has jumped significantly to 420 kilometers.

With a full tank and full charge, its combined range reaches 1,520 kilometers.

The model is equipped with industry-leading flash charging technology, setting a record for extremely high energy replenishment efficiency.

Official data shows that it takes only 5 minutes for the vehicle to charge its battery from 10% to 70 percent. And charging from 10% to 97% takes only 9 minutes.

Even under extreme winter conditions of minus 30 degrees Celsius, its charging time will only increase by 3 minutes.

BYD plans to achieve flash charging station coverage within a 3-kilometer radius in China's tier-one and tier-two cities by the end of 2026.

In terms of the powertrain, the N9 flash charging edition is equipped with a 2.0T engine with a maximum power of 152 kilowatts.

It is also equipped with three drive motors, delivering a combined power of 680 kilowatts (912 hp) and a maximum torque of up to 1,035 Nm.

This powertrain enables the large SUV to accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3.7 seconds.

The vehicle comes standard with the e3 technology and the DiSus-A body control system. These technologies support unique vehicle control features including extreme steering, intelligent crab walking, and compass U-turns.

The flagship SUV comes standard with the BYD's God's Eye 5.0 advanced smart driving assistance system, which adds reinforcement learning capabilities on top of its end-to-end large model.

The cabin interior is equipped with a 17.3-inch central control screen and two 13.2-inch screens for the instrument panel and the front passenger. It also offers a 50-inch AR-HUD head-up display system and Devialet audio.

Just two days prior to the new model's launch, Denza celebrated the roll-off of its 500,000th vehicle, and the milestone car was exactly the N9 flash charging edition.

Denza N8L flash charging edition is priced between 350,000 yuan ($51,210) and 400,000 yuan in pre-sales.
