Xpeng chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng spent about $30 million to buy additional ADSs of the EV maker.

He Xiaopeng purchased 2,200,000 ADSs of Xpeng on the open market on September 23 at an average price of $13.58 per ADS.

To date, Xpeng has 1,011 charging stations, including seven S4 supercharging stations, and it aims to add more than 500 S4 stations by 2023.

Xpeng says the G9 comes standard with an 800V high-voltage platform and a 3C ultra-fast charging battery pack across the lineup, underscoring a previously overlooked competency.

What is overlooked is that 3C and 800V SiC are actually standard across all models and a significant upgrade from previous generations, Edison Yu's team said.

CALB said it has previously been the preferred supplier for Xpeng's P7 and P5 sedans, is the main supplier for the G3i, and is now supplying batteries for the G9.

As of press time, Nio and Li Auto also plunged, albeit to a lesser extent, at 9.24 percent and 5.85 percent, respectively.

Judging by Xpeng's stock performance, investors don't seem to like the pricing of the Xpeng G9, despite the fact that it's another great product for the Chinese market.

BYD at 35,006 units, Tesla at 15,856 units, Li Auto at 2,628 units, Xpeng at 1,775 units and Nio at 1,745 units.

Xpeng's City NGP is already available in Guangzhou in pilot form, while its flagship G9 SUV will be officially launched a day later.
