Xpeng said Thursday that the Xmart OS in-car intelligent voice assistant "Xiao P" will receive a new AI voice via OTA in July and will first be available on the Xpeng P7.

Intelligent is the label Xpeng Motors wants to put on itself, and a new rating is expected to further reinforce that impression with consumers.

After about half a month of small-scale user testing, Xpeng Motors' memory parking feature has finally been opened to regular users.

Xpeng exported more than 300 G3 SUVs in the first quarter and plans to start delivering P7s in Norway in the second half of the year.

The P7 Wing edition, unveiled by Chinese electric car company Xpeng Motors at the Guangzhou auto show last November, is a welcome daring attempt to bring the scissor doors previously reserved for supercars to a civilian car.

The first owners of the Xpeng P7 Wing edition include short video creators, car and tech enthusiasts, mainly aged 20-45, most of whom chose the Super Flash Green color.

The car is equipped with a LiDAR on the roof mount and one on each side of the front end.

An Xpeng P7 sedan used for display by Chinese electric car maker Xpeng Motors appeared to lose control and crashed into a mall booth Sunday after backing up quickly for about 50 meters, according to local media.

Meizu said that under their partnership with Xpeng, users touch the car door with the Meizu 18 Pro and the door will open. The feature supports models including the Xpeng P7 and newer models.

Xpeng announced Wednesday the launch of the P7 and G3 models with lithium iron phosphate batteries, both of which will be available for sale now, with deliveries of the former expected to begin in May and the latter in April.
