Xpeng saw a significant drop in deliveries in the second half of the year, and potential consumers waiting for the new P7 could be one of the reasons.

Xpeng rolled out the P7 562E Black Label Edition as the 100,000th P7 to roll off the production line. The model will be officially launched in China on April 10.

Xpeng may revamp its main-selling P7 sedan and add LiDARs, which are crucial for smart driving, recent rumors suggest.

The OTA brings 12 new features and more than 40 optimizations to the user experience, Xpeng said.

The Xpeng P7 with an NEDC range of 670 km has added a 670E+ version, and a 670E+ Wing Edition, with the regular 670E version no longer in stock.

Some consumers have accused Xpeng of prioritizing the production and delivery of models with a range of 670 km, while freezing orders for those with a range of 480 km.

To date, the Xpeng P7 offers 480km, 562km, 586km, 670km and 706km NEDC range options, with a total of 15 versions available.
