Nio is holding the Nio Berlin 2022 European product launch event, and CnEVPost will be covering the event via live text feed.

Nio showcased the EP9, Formula E, and the three production cars, ET7, ET5, and EL7, ready to arrive in Europe, in the show car area at the event.

Considering the potentially prolonged litigation with Audi, Nio has decided to use the EL7 model name in Europe for now in order to avoid affecting the interests of customers in Europe.

Nio's move appears to be a response to a previous lawsuit from Audi, as it enters the home turf of the luxury brand owned by Volkswagen.

It is worth noting that Nio has not yet officially announced the pricing of the ET7 in Europe, and it is unclear whether the prices currently shown are the final version.

Nio will officially enter Germany on October 7. Over the next few days, the company will conduct final testing and calibration of the battery swap station.

Soaring energy costs are an obstacle to Nio's rollout of battery swap stations in Europe, and slower-than-expected planning approvals are also hindering the rollout.

Nio already has more than 720 employees in Europe, most of whom joined within six months, William Li said.

Nio is launching the ET7, ET5 and ES7 at the Nio Berlin 2022 event to be held on October 7, local time in Europe, said Qin Lihong.

Nio did not announce what the event will involve, although it can be expected that the ET7 will be formally introduced to European consumers.
