Tesla aims to raise production at the Shanghai plant to a new record high by the end of July to get closer to its goal of producing 22,000 cars a week, according to Reuters.

Since production resumed in late April, Tesla Giga Shanghai has produced a cumulative total of more than 40,000 vehicles.

Tesla Giga Shanghai has started double-shift production since May 23, and production has been largely on par with pre-Covid lockdown levels, according to local media.

Tesla will more than double daily production at Giga Shanghai to 2,600 electric vehicles starting Tuesday, according to Reuters.
