SAIC-GM-Wuling Hongguang Mini EV sold 30,706 units in July, ranking first in China's new energy vehicle market for the 11th consecutive month since its launch, the company said Monday.

The Pocco Duoduo, a new car from local Chinese carmaker Pocco that competes with the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV, will open for pre-sale on August 6, the company announced Thursday.

China's hottest-selling EV, the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV, is coming to Spain for about 9,000 euros ($10,590), according to Entrepreneur.com. The model starts at RMB 28,800 ($4,450) in China.

Electric vehicle brand Letin announced Thursday that its first all-electric mini car will go on sale on July 30, with a price range of RMB 29,800 ($4,600) to RMB 54,900.

The Wuling Hongguang Mini EV remained the best-selling new energy vehicle (NEV) model in China with 29,143 units sold in June, up 12.56 percent from May.

After its record sales in March, the performance of China's hottest-selling electric car is starting to weaken.

Its pre-sale price starts at RMB 29,800 ($4,588), not far off the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV's starting price of RMB 28,800.
