Li Auto announced today that its cumulative deliveries exceeded 40,000 units as of February 18, 14.5 months after Li ONE opened for delivery on December 4, 2019.

China-made Tesla Model 3 sold 15,484 units in January, down 35 percent from 23,804 units sold in December, according to the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).

SAIC Motor said on February 8 that it became the top seller of new energy vehicles (NEV) in China in January with 58,000 energy vehicles sold in that month, up 446.6 percent year-on-year.

Sales of the model increased 0.12 percent in January compared to December, and 52,659 units have been sold since its launch in July 2020.

China's most popular electric car, the Hongguang Mini EV, sold a whopping 36,762 units in January 2021, ranking monthly sales No. 1 in China for five consecutive months.

Chinese automaker BYD sold 20,178 new energy vehicles in January, up 182.88 percent year-on-year, but down 30 percent from 28,841 vehicles in December.

For the full year of 2020, the Aion S, Aion LX and Aion V have accumulated sales of 60,000 units, up 42.9% year-on-year, and entered the top 10 in the rankings of China's new energy vehicle sales.

Leapmotor said it received 5,588 orders for the month, including 3,388 for the Leap C11, which has been available for pre-order since January 1.

Li Auto in January delivered 5,379 units of the Li ONE, its only model, up 355.8 percent year-on-year but was down 12% from December's 6,126 units.

The deliveries consisted of 1,660 ES8s, a 6-seater and 7-seater flagship premium smart electric SUV, 2,720 ES6s, a 5-seater high-performance premium smart electric SUV, and 2,845 EC6s, a 5-seater premium electric coupe SUV.
