Tesla is aiming to run two shifts at its Shanghai plant from May 16 to produce 2,600 vehicles a day, according to Reuters.

Tesla outlined how it plans to further expand its factory in Shanghai in a letter sent to local officials, according to Reuters.

This comes less than a month after Tesla last recalled 127,785 Model 3 vehicles in China.
