BYD will sell all-electric versions of its Tang SUV and Han sedan through seven dealers in Mexico in 2023, an executive said last year.

The BYD Atto 3 costs about $33,800 in Japan, cheaper than Tesla and Nissan EVs, and deliveries are expected to start there around March.

The joint venture will focus on the production of several of BYD's best-selling models, including the DM-i super hybrid models, and related parts.

This is the largest number of units BYD has ever exported in a single shipment, including 200 Qin Plus DM-i and 1,000 Song Plus DM-i.

The first 500 units of the BYD Atto 3 are expected to be delivered to Indian consumers starting in January 2023, with the company aiming to sell 15,000 units of the model locally by 2023.

The Dolphin's debut in Colombia is the second time the model has appeared in an overseas market after its appearance in Japan.

The BYD Atto 3 sold 2,333 units in Israel in November, making it the best-selling of all models in the country.
