In the first half of this year there were industry sources saying that Nio was intensively researching lithium mines and that the company was particularly interested in salt lakes in South America, according to local media.

Nio, through its wholly owned subsidiary Blue Northstar Limited, has agreed to pay A$12 million to Greenwing in a strategic financing deal.

L&A Design said it will be responsible for the design and on-site management services for Nio's electric vehicle industrial parks in multiple regions.

Nio already has more than 720 employees in Europe, most of whom joined within six months, William Li said.

Nio is launching the ET7, ET5 and ES7 at the Nio Berlin 2022 event to be held on October 7, local time in Europe, said Qin Lihong.

Previously, it was rumored that the project name of Nio's third brand would be "Firefly".

Nio did not announce what the event will involve, although it can be expected that the ET7 will be formally introduced to European consumers.

Nio's bosses checked out the construction of the company's Nio House and its first battery swap station in Germany as they are on a 10-day road trip in an ET7.

"It’s just like two runners on their tracks," said Nio president Qin Lihong. "If you have a great lead, you just need to keep your own pace."

The vehicle's head is wrapped in camouflage, but its headlights are set up differently from the current ES8.
