GAC Aion's cumulative sales from January to October were 212,384 units.

Voyah's delivery figures for the year show that the two existing models are not doing well. Its upcoming sedan may help boost sales.

In terms of retail sales, the penetration rate of NEVs in China is expected to be about 28.8 percent in October, down from 31.8 percent in September.

Tesla's Model Y sold 46,694 retail units in China in September, and the Model 3 sold 30,919 units.

The models ahead of the Nio ET7 are all traditional internal combustion engine cars, mainly from German luxury brands BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Audi.

BEV sales in September were 539,000 units, up 77.2 percent year-on-year, while PHEV sales were 169,000 units, up 177.5 percent year-on-year.

At wholesale, NEV penetration was 29.4 percent in September, slightly lower than the previous month's record 30.1 percent. Retail penetration, however, reached a record 31.8 percent.

Vehicles produced at Tesla factories are typically used for export at the beginning of the quarter and for local deliveries at the end of the quarter.

This means that China's new energy passenger car sales will continue to reach a record high in September, up 87 percent year-on-year and up 5 percent from August.

The number surpassed the previous record of 78,906 vehicles in June to set a new high.
