BYD's insurance registrations in China for the second week of September were 31,000, with 18,000 for Tesla and 1,613 for Nio.

This means that Zeekr has delivered more than 2,795 Zeekr 001 vehicles so far this month.

This means Zeekr has met its sales target for this year months early, having previously set a delivery target of 70,000 units for 2022.

Nio continued to outsell its local counterpart Xpeng and Li Auto in the first week of September, as deliveries of its new models began to see a steady rise.

The delivery numbers themselves don't have any major negative surprises, but other developments are hurting stocks, including the Nvidia chip ban and the Chengdu Covid lockdown.

Zeekr 001 received more than 10,000 orders with non-refundable deposits in August, another record high, Zeekr said.

In addition to Zeekr, the Huawei-backed AITO brand will also be one of the first to use the Qilin Battery.

Zeekr is considering an IPO and has sought proposals from investment banks, according to Bloomberg.
