The price range of the Hongguang Mini EV is RMB 28,800-38,800, almost one-tenth of the China-made Tesla Model 3.

China's hottest-selling model, the Hongguang Mini EV, sold 17,307 units in February, down 53 percent from January.

TikTok's local competitor Kuaishou announced on March 7 that it has partnered with SAIC-GM-Wuling to sell limited-edition Wuling Hongguang Mini EVs at a discounted price.

The exterior of the model has been updated with the word "Macaron" embedded on the left side of the body, headlights with a retro design, and new wheels. The interior and features have also been upgraded.

That means the model is selling an average of 1,000 units per day, setting a global record for sales of a small new energy vehicle.

China's most popular electric car, the Hongguang Mini EV, sold a whopping 36,762 units in January 2021, ranking monthly sales No. 1 in China for five consecutive months.

Selling at 9,999 euros in Europe would mean that this is about RMB 777,765 yuan, more than twice as much as the price in China.

Among them, Hongguang Mini EV, the best-selling model, has exceeded 150,000 units in six months after its launch, and won the top spot in China's new energy sales for four consecutive months from September to December 2020.

2021 is the Chinese Lunar Year of the Ox starting from February 12, and the SAIC-GM-Wuling Hongguang MINI EV, China's most popular electric vehicle in terms of sales, is offering a special model to celebrate it.

The Hongguang MINI EV, a pure electric vehicle of SAIC-GM-Wuling, was only launched in July this year.
