is expected to see its 100,000th production vehicle roll off the assembly line on April 7, another milestone for the Chinese electric vehicle company since its first production vehicle rolled off the line on May 27, 2018.

On July 18, 2020, Nio's 50,000th production vehicle rolled off the production line, 783 days after it began mass production.

Since then, Nio's production growth has accelerated significantly, and on April 7, 2021, just 263 days after the 50,000th vehicle rolls off the production line, the company will see its 100,000th production vehicle roll off the line.

Nio currently sells three main products, all SUVs -- the ES8, ES6 and the coupe SUV styled EC6.

It is unclear which model will be the 100,000th Nio product to roll off the production line.

Based on the sales situation of Nio, the current main models are ES6 and EC6, which have significantly higher sales than ES8, and it is very likely that the 100,000th product will be one of these two models.

Nio Life will launch commemorative products for the 100,000th mass-produced vehicle to roll off the production line, including a commemorative aluminum coin made from materials left over from the body manufacturing process and a gold-plated EP9 model with a customizable nameplate, Nio President Qin Lihong said Thursday. They will go on sale at 10:00 on April 7.

Nio Chairman William Li previously said during the Q4 earnings call that Nio's double-shift capacity will reach 300,000 units by the end of this year.

Nio's first sedan, the Nio ET7, is Nio's flagship sedan with dual-motor four-wheel drive and a range of up to 1,000 kilometers.

The new car is priced from RMB 448,000 before subsidies and is expected to be delivered in the first quarter of 2022.
