BYD unveiled its E-VALI electric light commercial vehicle at the IAA Transportation 2024 event, and has entered into a partnership with France's CEVA Logistics to deliver four ETH8 all-electric trucks to it in January 2025.

BYD has bought the remaining 10 percent of Denza from Mercedes-Benz, after increasing its stake from 50 percent to 90 percent in 2022.

The Yangwang U8 made its debut in the UAE, where sales are expected to begin in 2025.

The Denza Z9 is available in hybrid and BEV variants, both with tri-motors. The other model in the Z series, the Z9GT, will hit the market on September 20.

BYD's total workforce exceeded 900,000, the most of any of the more than 5,300 Chinese A-share listed companies and 400,000 more than the second-place company.

BYD is focusing on its main businesses and has no plans to launch motorcycles, an executive said, after some patent drawings sparked speculation.

BYD has launched the Yuan Pro -- known as the Yuan Up in China -- in Brazil, the 11th model it has offered in the South American country.

The BYD M6 has a starting price of around $24,700 in Thailand. The model went on sale in Indonesia in July.

A BYD executive said the company's sales are doing well at the moment, but he hasn't heard that the sales target has been revised upward.

Denza started the pre-sales of the Z9GT on August 20, with a price range of RMB 339,800 ($47,770) to RMB 419,800.
