BYD's next-generation blade battery will improve the range of vehicles and extend the life cycle of the battery itself, an executive said.

Currently 90 percent of China's power batteries are transported by road, and rail transportation is expected to reduce costs and improve efficiency.

BYD is developing a smart driving chip with a computing power of 80 TOPS that will be used in the company's models priced between RMB 80,000 ($11,060) and RMB 300,000, according to local media.

In the January-October period, sales of the Dynasty lineup exceeded 1.58 million units, contributing about half of the BYD brand's sales in the same period.

BYD was founded in February 1995 with an initial workforce of around 20 employees. Now it has become one of China's largest automakers, with a total workforce of more than 900,000.

The Denza Z9 is available in PHEV and BEV variants, and its tri-motor powertrain allows the vehicle to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds.

BYD expects to produce around 200 electric buses per year in Azerbaijan between 2025 and 2028.

Yangwang has begun pre-sales of the U7 without releasing pricing information. The BYD sub-brand previously said the U7 would be priced in the 1-million-yuan level.

The Song Pro DM-i is the 10th model BYD has launched in Chile. The BYD Shark will be launched in Chile in the first quarter of 2025.

BYD Korea said it has “completed review to release passenger car brands in the domestic market” and expects to enter the South Korean market early next year.
