The 2026 Seal 07 DM-i made its debut at the recently concluded 2025 Chengdu auto show, featuring an additional LiDAR sensor on the roof.

BYD has brought the Seal 06 DM-i hybrid sedan to Europe, including its wagon variant, renamed as the Seal 6 DM-i and Seal 6 DM-i Touring respectively.

Yangwang began pre-sales for the U8L in late July, priced at RMB 1.3 million ($182,030).

The Sealion 06 sold 35,483 units within 39 days of its market entry, including 30,483 units in August.

The Tai 7 is expected to be priced between RMB 250,000 ($34,990) and RMB 300,000, overlapping with the Bao 5.

CATL and BYD collectively installed 326.4 GWh of EV batteries in January-July 2025, accounting for 55.3 percent of the global total.

The BYD Qin family models sold 62,561 units in August, remaining BYD's top-selling lineup.

BYD's passenger BEV sales in August rose 34.43 percent year-on-year, while PHEV sales fell 22.69 percent.

The milestone comes as Indian Prime Minister revisits China amid hopes for thawing Sino-Indian relations.
