BAIC BluePark is now pinning its hopes for a turnaround on the Arcfox α-S model under its Arcfox brand.

This appears to be a month's delay from the previous plan. The model is the first production vehicle to be equipped with Huawei's smart car solutions.

From January to October, BJEV sales were 19,458 units, down about 16 percent from a year ago.

BAIC BluePark has had a glorious past, but business conditions have continued to deteriorate in recent years.

BAIC BluePark sold 4,074 vehicles in August, up 91 percent year-on-year and up about 17 percent from July.

Its cumulative sales from January to July were 10,450 units, down 37.46 percent from 16,709 units in the same period last year.

In late May, the Arcfox α-S's production-line verification vehicle officially rolled off the production line, with small-volume deliveries scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year.

BAIC Blue Park had a glorious past. It was the number one pure electric vehicle seller in China for seven consecutive years from 2013-2019.

Arcfox, the electric car brand of Chinese automaker BAIC Group, is aiming to deliver 1,000 units of Arcfox α-S with 'Huawei Inside' this year, but said it is challenging.

Its cumulative sales from January to May were 5,374 units, down 54.04 percent from 11,692 units in the same period last year.
