- The L90 single-motor version has battery packs with capacities of 60.6 kWh and 85.1 kWh, with a CLTC range of 425-605 km.
- Onvo's president previously said that the L90 would come standard with the larger 85-kWh battery pack.

The battery and range specifications of the single-motor version of the L90, the flagship SUV (sport utility vehicle) of Nio's (NYSE: NIO) sub-brand Onvo, were disclosed in a new filing, following the revelation of the dual-motor version's range last month.
The L90 with model number NAL6513BSEVZ1 qualifies for China's new energy vehicle (NEV) tax exemption and reduction on vehicle purchases, according to a catalog published today by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
NAL6513BSEVZ1 represents the single-motor version of the L90, according to a previous report by CnEVPost.
The model is a battery-swappable vehicle, with battery packs available in 60.6 kWh and 85.1 kWh versions, according to the catalog.
Under these two battery pack configurations, the L90's CLTC range values are: 450/440/425/605/600/575 kilometers, according to the filing.

It is worth noting that the actual range of an EV is typically around 80 percent of the declared CLTC range.
Onvo president Shen Fei said earlier this year that the L90 would come standard with an 85-kWh battery pack.
The Nio sub-brand's first model, the L60 midsize SUV, comes standard with a 60-kWh battery pack, while the 85-kWh battery pack is an optional long-range pack.
This means the L90 will share all battery packs with the L60, but will come standard with the larger 85-kWh battery pack.
Nio's battery swap system allows vehicles under the Nio main brand to freely upgrade or downgrade battery packs. For the L90, owners may also be allowed to use the lower-capacity 60-kWh battery pack and receive some incentives.
The two battery packs for the L90 weigh 439 kilograms and 440 kilograms, respectively, representing pack energy densities of 138 Wh/kg and 193 Wh/kg.
A regulatory filing disclosed on April 15 revealed that the L90's battery options include lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries and ternary lithium batteries, with suppliers including BYD (HKG: 1211, OTCMKTS: BYDDY), CATL (SHE: 300750), and CALB.
Apparently, the 60-kWh battery pack is based on the lower-energy-density LFP chemistry, while the 85-kWh battery pack is based on the nickel-cobalt-manganese chemistry system.
The dual-motor version of the L90 -- product model NAL6513BSEVZ2 -- was included in a MIIT catalog on May 21, showing its CLTC range values as: 425/410/570/550 kilometers.
The L90 will be Onvo's second model following the L60 mid-size SUV and the first model launched after Shen replaced Alan Ai as president of the Nio sub-brand.
The SUV made its debut on the first day of the 2025 Shanghai auto show on April 23, with official launch scheduled for the third quarter.
Additionally, Onvo will launch another large five-seat SUV, the L80, in the fourth quarter. Yesterday, two spy photos showed the model undergoing road tests.
