Zeekr has racked up more than 70,000 deliveries of the Zeekr 001 electric vehicle in 2022, hitting its annual sales target, the Geely-owned premium brand announced today on Weibo.
Zeekr, which is currently delivering just the Zeekr 001, delivered 11,011 units in November, bringing cumulative deliveries for the year to 60,604 units.
The company's latest announcement today means it has delivered about 9,400 units so far this month, and December delivery figures are expected to be announced on Sunday, January 1.
Zeekr was officially launched as a separate company in March 2021, and the Zeekr 001 was unveiled on April 15, 2021, with deliveries starting last October.
On November 1, Zeekr's second model, the Zeekr 009 MPV, was launched, with deliveries to begin in January 2023.
The next highly anticipated models for Zeekr are the Zeekr 001 and Zeekr 009 with CATL's Qilin Battery.
CATL officially unveiled the Qilin Battery, or CTP (cell to pack) 3.0 battery, on June 23, claiming to bring a new level of integration to battery systems.
The Qilin Battery allows volume utilization to exceed 72 percent and energy density to reach 255Wh/kg, supporting a vehicle range of 1,000km, the company said at the time.
On August 27, CATL announced that Zeekr will be the first vehicle brand in the world to use CATL's Qilin Battery, and that the Zeekr 009 MPV will be the first vehicle in the world to carry the Qilin Battery.
Zeekr said at the time that deliveries of the Zeekr 009 with the Qilin Battery are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2023, while the Zeekr 001 with the battery will be available in the second quarter of 2023.
On December 19, China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released several documents that brought battery information for the Qilin Battery-equipped Zeekr 001 to light.
The information shows that the Zeekr 001 is powered by a ternary lithium battery pack with a capacity of 140 kWh and a CLTC range of 1,032 km.
