Zeekr started pre-sales for the Zeekr 7X on August 30th, with the official launch set for September 20 and deliveries to begin in late September.

In the January-August period, Zeekr delivered 121,540 vehicles, up 81.47 percent year-on-year.

The Zeekr 7X will begin deliveries in China by the end of September, followed by global deliveries within a year.

Zeekr will launch a flagship SUV in the second half of 2025 that will offer a variant with a new electric-hybrid powertrain technology, its CEO said.

Zeekr reported gross margins of 17.2 percent in the second quarter, compared to 12.3 percent in the second quarter of 2023 and 11.8 percent in the first quarter of 2024.

Zeekr has been awarded an L3 autonomous driving test permit in Hangzhou, and will be able to test the L3 capabilities of its SEA Intelligent Driving system on the city's highways and urban expressways.

"It's faster than you, it's smarter than you, it's younger than you, and it's more affordable than you," a Zeekr executive told Cadillac.

The 2025 Zeekr 007 has variants with Zeekr's next-generation battery packs that can charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in 10.5 minutes, which Zeekr said is the fastest charging speed yet.

Zeekr will begin building showrooms in Japan in the fourth quarter of this year and plans to start selling and delivering vehicles there in 2025.

A Zeekr poster hints that the Zeekr 001 shooting brake and the Zeekr 007 sedan will get the 2025 model year updates, both just about half a year after the launch of their predecessors.
