It's rare for Tesla to shorten the expected delivery dates for all models at once. The popular Model Y entry-level version now has a wait time of about 2 months.

The expected delivery date for the entry-level Model Y was also shortened by two weeks just two days ago.

Tesla's China-made Model Y now comes standard with an extra far-side airbag across the lineup, possibly as part of a recent production line upgrade at the Shanghai plant.

Tesla China's sharp decrease in wholesale sales in July was not due to a new obstacle to its operations, but rather to production line upgrades.
