The first batch of WM W6 will be shipped as show cars to stores in cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Tianjin, Wuhan, Chongqing, Hangzhou, and Chengdu. Customers will be able to experience the model's smart technology in-store.

Chinese EV maker WM Motor's electric SUV with 5G connectivity, the WM W6, began accepting pre-orders on March 1 and will be delivered in April of this year.

The first RMB 3.5 billion credit facility from a syndicate of Shanghai-based banks has been signed and will be used primarily for WM Motor's operations and layout in terms of products and customer services, the company said.

Baidu may join forces with WM Motor to build a car and that the two sides are currently discussing possible models of cooperation.

WM Motor's third all-new intelligent electric SUV was unveiled at Baidu's Apollo 2020 eco-conference on December 8.
