The bus will operate between Komárom, where BYD's Hungarian plant is located, and Komárno, Slovakia, and is the first-ever all-electric bus to operate across the border in both countries.

Chinese electric car company BYD recently announced that it has won an order for 50 pure electric buses from the city of Turin, Italy. This is the largest ever tender for purely electric buses in the region, and the customer is BYD's long-time customer Turin Transit Group (GTT).

Norway, with a land area of less than 400,000 square kilometers, is becoming a new battleground for Chinese EV companies.

BYD announced in early March that the 2021 BYD Tang, an SUV powered by blade batteries, will be sold in the Norwegian market, and now the company has provided more details.

BYD Europe's official website announced product details of its blade battery-powered SUV, the 2021 BYD Tang, on March 1, and announced the vehicle's entry into the Norwegian market.

The buses will be placed on nine routes in the city on December 26, and the remaining 350 are scheduled to be placed on 30 other routes in the first quarter of 2021.

The electric bus, named K8, will cost 38.5 million yen ($370,000) excluding tax, and they will start deliveries in January, aiming to sell 2,000 units within five years.

BYD is considering buying a bus manufacturing plant in South Korea and the company has recently conducted due diligence on Zyle Daewoo Bus Commercial Vehicle's commercial vehicle plant in Ulsan, the Seoul Economic Daily reported.

BYD announced on September 22 that it signed an order for 106 electric buses with Nobina, the largest public transport operator in Northern Europe, officially entering the Finnish market.

Chinese auto giant BYD said today that it has delivered 29 all-electric double deckers to Britain's bus operator  National Express in cooperation with local bus builder Alexander Dennis Limited (ADL).
