Battery Swap

Thirteen companies, including Nio, undertook the work including the top-level design of the standard, the main framework and technical route for shared swap stations.

Nio put two new battery swap stations into operation Thursday, one in Xining and one in Taicang, bringing the total to 363.

As of August 11, Nio has 361 battery swap stations, 238 supercharging stations, 432 destination charging stations.

Nio's seven new battery swap stations went into operation on August 10, bringing the total to 360. One is located in Xingtai, Hebei Province, and six are in Shanghai.

This is Nio's 14th battery swap station in Henan Province, and the second to be put into operation after the province was hit by rare heavy rains and flooding.

The pilot industry focus is on cabs, ride-hailing services, buses, passenger shuttles, and medium and heavy commercial vehicles.

So far, Nio has 352 battery swap stations, 235 supercharging stations and 427 destination charging stations in China, and has access to more than 390,000 third-party charging piles.

Nio originally planned to have 500 battery swap stations by the end of this year, but at the first Nio Power Day event on July 9, it said the goal would be raised to over 700.

At the first Nio Power Day event on July 9, Nio said the percentage was 29 percent and that was unsatisfactory.

As of August 4, Nio has 345 battery swap stations, 234 supercharging stations, 424 destination charging stations, and access to over 390,000 third-party charging posts in China.
