Seres, Sokon's brand that partners with Huawei, sold 3,160 units in March, up 1,310.71 percent year-on-year.

This is down 8.3 percent from 3,520 units in January. The first AITO M5 vehicles, jointly built by Huawei and Sokon, will be delivered in Shanghai on March 5.

Chongqing Sokon, Huawei's key partner in the automotive sector, saw its NEV sales drop 42.8 percent in January compared to 6,150 units in December.

This is Chongqing Sokon's monthly NEV sales data. The company first announced NEV sales data in June 2020.

While the Hang Seng Technology Index has fallen nearly 50 percent since February 18 last year, Sokon has gained 270 percent in the A-share market.

That's down about 8 percent from 4,976 units in October.

Huawei is reportedly partnering with Sokon to create a model called Aotu, which will feature a full suite of Huawei's smart car solutions.

Chongqing Sokon produced 4,243 NEVs in September, up 114 percent year-on-year.

The company sold a total of 19,227 vehicles in August, down 15.42 percent from a year earlier.
