Ora brand sold a record 20,926 vehicles in December, the first time it has sold more than 20,000 vehicles, despite an image crisis over the chip configuration of its hot-selling model.

Ora previously claimed that its hot-selling Good Cat model used Qualcomm's octa-core chip, but it was discovered that it was actually Intel's quad-core chip, released five years ago.

The Ora Good Cat sold 8,855 vehicles in November, up 13 percent from 7,845 in October, a record for a single month.

Great Wall Motor plans to open experience centers in Munich and Berlin in 2022, and its WEY Coffee 01 and ORA Cat models will soon be available for pre-order.

The Ora Good Cat will be available for public sale in Thailand from October 29, with a pricing range of 900,000 baht ($27,000) - 1.2 million baht.
