Chinese electric car company BYD recently announced that it has won an order for 50 pure electric buses from the city of Turin, Italy. This is the largest ever tender for purely electric buses in the region, and the customer is BYD's long-time customer Turin Transit Group (GTT).

BYD Semiconductor announced Friday that its automotive MCU (microcontroller unit) installed base has exceeded 10 million units, marking a milestone in the local automotive chip sector.

Norway, with a land area of less than 400,000 square kilometers, is becoming a new battleground for Chinese EV companies.

The model may be built on BYD's new e3.0 platform, which will offer three power options and a planned annual production capacity of 60,000 units, according to the report.

BYD announced in early March that the 2021 BYD Tang, an SUV powered by blade batteries, will be sold in the Norwegian market, and now the company has provided more details.

BYD became the first Chinese car company to cross this historic threshold in new energy vehicle sales.

There is still an average waiting time of 3.5 months for the delivery of additional orders, and BYD apologized for the inconvenience this has caused to customers.

BYD sold 25,662 new energy vehicles in April, up about 6 percent from March and up 97 percent year-on-year.

BYD Semiconductor was established in October 2004, and BYD directly holds 72.3 percent of the shares, making it the controlling shareholder of the company.

Since its launch in July last year, the Han model has sold more than 10,000 units in four months, with a total of 76,187 units sold so far.
