- The total number of swap stations currently available to Onvo stands at 2,491.
- The infrastructure expansion comes as Onvo intensively launches new models, including the upcoming new L80 and the revamped L60.

Nio Inc (NYSE: NIO) sub-brand Onvo is accelerating the expansion of its energy replenishment infrastructure amid an intensive roll-out of new products.
The number of swap stations available to the Onvo brand will exceed 3,300 by the end of this year, Shen Fei, Nio's senior vice president and president of Onvo, said on Sunday.
Onvo completed its swap station battery doubling plan earlier this year, adding more than 8,000 batteries and significantly improving users' replenishment experience, he said.
Currently, the total number of swap stations available to Onvo has reached 2,491, Onvo's charging map data shows. Among them, 691 are located along highways to support long-distance travel needs.
By comparison, the Nio main brand currently has 3,843 available swap stations, with 1,036 located along highways.
On Sunday morning, Nio's new flagship SUV, the ES9, broke the record for the shortest time to drive 10,000 consecutive kilometers with a time of 94 hours and 19 minutes. The record was previously set by the Onvo L60 in July 2025.
Nio's fourth-generation battery swap stations, which are currently under construction, can directly support Onvo models, while older stations require modifications to provide support.
The company plans to build five to 10 pioneer fifth-generation battery swap stations between May and June. These few pilot stations will be open to users for trial operations.
Large-scale deployment of the fifth-generation stations is set to begin in July and August, and will for the first time additionally support vehicles from Firefly, another Nio Inc sub-brand.
Alongside expanding its swap network, Onvo is also intensively broadening its product lineup.
The brand will officially launch the Onvo L80 on May 15. The large five-seat electric SUV (sport utility vehicle) already began pre-sales late last month.
Onvo plans to hold a pre-sales launch event for the revamped L60 in late May, with the official launch of the mid-size SUV scheduled for June.
Nio founder, chairman and CEO William Li revealed this plan during a livestream over the weekend, stating that the revamped Onvo L60 will add a version equipped with LiDAR sensors.
The L60 upgrade also highlights the integration of Nio's in-house developed Shenji NX9031 autonomous driving chip. This marks a continuation of Onvo's strategy to offer more flexible choices for its products.
In addition, Onvo just began delivering the 2026 large three-row L90 SUV last week.
The roll-out of these new models is crucial for Onvo to maintain its sales momentum. The sub-brand delivered a total of 5,352 vehicles in April this year, up 21.64% from a year earlier. However, deliveries fell 22.18% compared to March.
On a broader group level, Nio Inc is preparing to ramp up infrastructure investments in 2026.
The company plans to add at least 1,000 fifth-generation battery swap stations throughout this year, Li said in January.
