The 2026 Onvo L90 received more than 70 hardware and software upgrades to enhance its market competitiveness, Onvo said at its launch event on April 21.

It is equipped for the first time with Nio's in-house developed 5-nanometer automotive-grade autonomous driving chip, the Shenji NX9031.

To further improve its advanced driver assistance capabilities, the model also added variants equipped with LiDAR and introduced the Nio World Model autonomous driving solution for the first time.

The updated Onvo L90 is built on a 900-volt high-voltage architecture, comes standard with an 85-kilowatt-hour battery pack, and offers a range of up to 600 kilometers.

The model is compatible with Nio's existing battery swap network, taking only three minutes to complete a battery replacement.

In addition, like all EV models, the vehicle supports fast charging.

The L90 is Onvo's second model after the L60, and was originally launched in July 2025.

The L60 will also receive an update later this year, with previous regulatory filings showing that the model will also have versions equipped with LiDAR.

Onvo is continuing to expand its product lineup, having started pre-sales for the L80 large five-seater SUV on April 28, with an official launch scheduled for May 15.

The pre-sales starting price of the Onvo L80 is 245,800 yuan, which is 20,000 yuan, or 7.52 percent, lower than the starting price of the L90.

The Onvo brand delivered a total of 5,352 vehicles in April this year, up 21.64% from the same period last year, but down 22.18% from March.

As of early April this year, cumulative historical deliveries of the Onvo L90 had reached 50,000 units.

In the first quarter of this year, the model delivered 1,502, 1,317, and 3,360 units in January, February, and March, respectively, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.

Onvo's upcoming L80 five-seat SUV will offer both LiDAR and pure vision options, mirroring the strategy used on the L90.
