Leapmotor (HKG: 9863) will begin pre-sales of the updated C11 SUV (sport utility vehicle) model tomorrow, continuing its intensive new product rollout.
The C11 has been a hot-seller for four years, with a cumulative user base of 251,862, the company, said on Weibo, without providing further details.
The updated C11 appeared in a filing catalog of China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in May, indicating it will continue to offer battery electric vehicle (BEV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) versions.
The vehicle measures 4,780 mm in length, 1,905 mm in width, and 1,658 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,930 mm. Except for the height, which differs from its predecessor at 1,675 mm, all other dimensions remain unchanged.
The updated C11 BEV is equipped with a motor delivering a peak power of 220 kW, surpassing the previous generation's 200 kW. Its EREV variant is equipped with a motor with a peak power output of 200 kW.
Leapmotor currently sells the T03, B10, C01, C10, C11, and C16 in China. Except for the T03 and B10, which are only available as BEVs, all other models also offer EREV variants.
The company launched the BEV versions of the C11 on September 29, 2021, and introduced the EREV variants for the model in February 2023.
Currently, the C11 has eight versions in China, with four BEV versions starting at a price range of RMB 151,800 ($21,180) to RMB 205,800, and four EREV variants starting at a price range of RMB 148,800 to RMB 185,800.
The C11 delivered 8,246 units in May, bringing the total deliveries to 251,862 units, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
The updated C11 will be one of the refreshed models or new models Leapmotor launched intensively this year, following the roll-out of the updated C16 SUV, updated C10 SUV, updated T03, and B10 SUV.
Leapmotor delivered 48,006 vehicles in June, marking the second consecutive month of record highs, according to data it released yesterday. Breakdown delivery figures for its models are currently unavailable.
So far this year, Leapmotor has delivered 221,664 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 155.68 percent.
As of the end of June, Leapmotor's cumulative deliveries since its inception totaled 821,212 vehicles.
