Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI) reported 40,856 deliveries in May on June 1, without specifying the breakdown by model.

Li Auto currently offers five models: Li L6, Li L7, Li L8, Li L9, and Li Mega. The L series are extended-range SUVs (sport utility vehicles), while the Li Mega is a pure electric MPV (multi-purpose vehicle).

The Li L6 delivered 18,781 units in May, making it the best-selling Li Auto model, representing a 12.09 percent increase from the 16,755 units delivered in April.

The Li L6, the most affordable Li Auto model with a starting price of RMB 249,800 ($34,770), contributed 45.97 percent of Li Auto's May deliveries.

From January to May, the Li L6 delivered 79,883 units, accounting for 47.65 percent of Li Auto's total deliveries of 167,659 units during the same period.

The Li L7 delivered 10,016 units in May, representing a year-on-year increase of 4.99 percent and a month-on-month increase of 23.62 percent. The model accounted for 24.52 percent of Li Auto's deliveries in May.

From January to May, the Li L7 delivered 39,101 units, a year-on-year decrease of 25.91 percent, contributing 23.32 percent of Li Auto's total deliveries during the same period.

The Li L8 delivered 5,312 units in May, a year-on-year decrease of 0.19 percent, but a month-on-month increase of 2.59 percent. The model contributed 13.00 percent of Li Auto's monthly deliveries.

From January to May, the Li L8 delivered 23,430 units, a year-on-year decrease of 25.06 percent, contributing 13.97 percent of Li Auto's total deliveries during the same period.

The Li L9 delivered 5,753 units in May, a year-on-year decrease of 12.56 percent, but a month-on-month increase of 51.35 percent. The model contributed 14.08 percent of Li Auto's monthly deliveries.

From January to May, the Li L9 delivered 21,745 units, a year-on-year decrease of 40.96 percent, contributing 12.97 percent of Li Auto's total deliveries during the same period.

The Li Mega delivered 994 units in May, a year-on-year increase of 61.89 percent and an 865.05 percent increase from April. The model accounted for 2.43 percent of Li Auto's monthly deliveries.

From January to May, Li Mega delivered 3,501 units, contributing 2.09 percent of Li Auto's total deliveries during the same period.

Li Auto launched the updated version of Li Mega on April 23 and the updated version of the L-series extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs) on May 8.

Deliveries of the updated L-series began on May 9, while deliveries of the updated Li Mega started on May 23.

Based on order status, Li Auto expected stable monthly deliveries of the Li Mega to reach 2,500-3,000 units, representing a 150-200 percent increase compared to the stable monthly delivery volume of the 2024 model year MPV, Li Auto said on June 1.
