Great Wall Motor's (GWM) premium Wey brand has rolled out the facelifted hybrid SUV (sport utility vehicle) Lanshan at the same starting price as its predecessor.
The Wey brand officially launched the facelifted Lanshan SUV at an event today, offering three variants, the Max, Ultra and Ultra Black Knight, with starting prices of RMB 299,800 ($41,520), RMB 326,800 and RMB 326,800 respectively.
The model is a mid-to-large-size hybrid six-seat SUV with length, width and height of 5,156 mm, 1,980 mm and 1,805 mm respectively, and a wheelbase of 3,050 mm.
It is powered by GWM's Hi4 performance edition four-wheel drive system with an engine displacement of 1.5 L and a maximum power of 125 kW.
The SUV has dual electric motors with 220 kW of maximum power and 410 Nm of maximum torque.
The powertrain enables the facelifted Lanshan SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 4.9 seconds.
The vehicle is powered by a ternary lithium-ion battery with 44.5 kWh and 52.3 kWh capacity options and a WLTC battery range of 185 km and 220 km respectively.
At full fuel and full charge, the facelifted Lanshan SUV has a combined WLTC range of 1,308 km and 1,343 km respectively.
The vehicle is equipped with Nvidia Orin-X smart driving chip and comes standard with GWM's Coffee Pilot Ultra driver assistance system, which supports NOA (Navigation on Autopilot) functionality in the city and on the highway.
Its smart driving hardware includes a 128-channel LiDAR, three millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, and 11 high-definition vision cameras.
The Wey brand is offering limited-time incentives for purchasers of the facelifted Lanshan SUV, including a RMB 10,000 final payment reduction, a trade-in subsidy of up to RMB 20,000, and an insurance subsidy of up to RMB 4,000.
It announced a trade-in subsidy of RMB 80,000 for the first owners of the Wey VV7 cars purchased in 2017.
The Wey brand sold 4,811 vehicles in April, up 7.92 percent year-on-year, contributing 4.81 percent of GWM's monthly sales of 100,061, according to data compiled by CnEVPost.
In the January-April period, the Wey brand sold 18,136 vehicles, up 28.94 percent year-on-year, contributing 5.08 percent of GWM's sales in the same period.
