Chinese electric vehicle (EV) startup Rox Motor has announced vehicle deliveries for April, ahead of major EV makers that will release their figures tomorrow.
Rox Motor delivered 1,128 vehicles in April, up 6.82 percent from 1,056 in March, according to figures it released today.
As of now, Rox Motor's cumulative deliveries since its inception stood at 10,163 units, surpassing the 10,000-unit mark, according to the company.
Rox Motor, a relatively unknown brand, was founded in January 2021 and launched its first model, Rox 01, on August 22, 2023, the only model it currently sells.
The Rox 01 is an extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) with a starting price of RMB 299,900 ($41,280) in China, and aims to compete with models including Li Auto's (NASDAQ: LI) Li L8.
Unlike most local EV makers, Rox Motor seems to be focusing more on overseas markets.
The company announced its entry into the Saudi market in February with the opening of its first local showroom in Riyadh.
The 10,000th Rox 01 rolled off the assembly line at Rox Motor's manufacturing facility in Qingdao, Shandong province, and has been delivered to a United Arab Emirates owner, according to the company.
Rox Motor will launch one all-new model every year from 2025 to 2027, aiming to become the preferred new energy vehicle (NEV) brand for outdoor enthusiasts around the world by 2030, it said.
Rox Motor is showcasing the Rox 01 at the ongoing 2025 Shanghai auto show, which runs through May 2.
