October 1-7 is the National Day holiday in China, which is also usually the peak of people's driving trips.

At a time when China's electric vehicle sales are exploding, the lack of replenishment facilities, despite their rapid increase, and the difficulty of charging during the holiday are becoming a concern.

Nio put nine new battery swap stations into operation in China yesterday and added four more today, bringing the total to 1,145, 312 of which are located along highways, according to data monitored by CnEVPost.

In addition to the increasing number of battery swap stations in China, Nio opened its first battery swap station in Germany on September 28, located on the busy A8 motorway between Ulm and Augsburg. The company will officially enter Germany on October 7.

With the imminent delivery of the first vehicles in Germany, Nio customers will soon be able to experience this revolutionary charging solution for themselves, including a fully automated battery swap, the company said.

Nio aims to have more than 4,000 battery swap stations worldwide by 2025, with 1,000 of them located in overseas markets.

In addition to its iconic battery swap stations, Nio also has one of the largest number of charging stations in China, with 1,938 stations providing 11,203 charging piles to date.
