After Lhasa, Tesla has completed its second Supercharger station in China with both solar power generation and energy storage in Shanghai.

Information on Tesla China's official website shows that the prices of the Model S Long Range and Model X Long Range have increased by 30,000 RMB ($4640) each.

Tesla China announced Thursday that it will launch a station with solar power, energy storage and supercharging capabilities in Shanghai on July 17.

Tesla Model 3 sales in China in June were 45.7 percent from cities with restrictions on car purchases, and for the Model Y, that ratio was 52.2 percent, according to a July 15 report from Essence Securities.

The first day of the Model Y standard range version's launch saw more than 10,000 orders, and the second day more than 5,000, local media quoted a Tesla salesperson as saying.

This past weekend, Tesla put two new V3 Supercharger stations into operation in the central Chinese cities of Yichang in Hubei and Pingdingshan in Henan province.

As every price cut it has made in China in the past, the lower-priced Model Y is sending a flood of orders to Tesla.

Tesla China retail sales in June were 28,138 units and exports were 5,017 units, the CPCA said.

Tesla's China website today launched the lower-priced Model Y Standard Range version, which is available for pre-order immediately, with deliveries expected to begin in August.

The first phase of Tesla's Shanghai Gigafactory project has been fully built, Beijing News said Wednesday, adding that it could mean the company's new lower-priced models will begin mass production.
