Xpeng plans to launch passenger-carrying demonstration operations for its robotaxis in the second half of this year.

The Xpeng GX will feature four Turing chips with an effective computing power of 3,000 TOPS, enabling Level 4 autonomous driving capabilities.

Xpeng's robotaxis equipped with VLA 2.0 software have passed closed-venue testing and are set to begin public road tests.

These robotaxis will be equipped with four of Xpeng's in-house developed Turing AI chips, delivering computing power up to 3000 TOPS.

Xpeng said its robotaxi is no longer merely a vehicle, but a companion that understands communication.

The G9 becomes the first unmodified commercial vehicle to qualify for autonomous driving testing on designated public roads in China, laying the groundwork for Xpeng's exploration of the robotaxi field.

Xpeng unveiled a flying car design closer to production and provided updates on robotaxi as well as the XNGP.

Xpeng will explore the robotaxi business in the second half of 2022, and the subsidiary is likely to be the operating entity for the business.

"Stock-wise, we think this may unlock a lever of optionality if Xpeng can gain some credibility in respect to this endeavor," Edison Yu's team said.
