All models on the list except the ET5 and ET7 are traditional fuel models, with the BMW 3 Series coming in at No. 1 with 18,533 units.

Nio vehicles registered 2,818 insurance units in China last week, including 1,794 ET5s.

Some of the ET5 vehicles included in the recall are at risk of having their high-voltage wiring harnesses break and short-circuit in a severe head-on collision.

Nio delivered 15,815 vehicles in December, of which 7,594 were ET5s, contributing 48 percent.

Nio delivered 7,594 ET5s, 1,379 ET7s and 4,154 ES7s in December.

Consumers who order the ET5 now can expect to have it delivered around the beginning of March next year.

The wait time for the Nio ET5 has been reduced to 10-12 weeks from the previous 12-14 weeks.

Nio said it invited many new consumers to test drive and experience the ET7 during the show and received positive comments from them.

The Nio App has stopped showing wait times for the EC6, potentially making way for a replacement model that will likely be called the EC7 that may be launched on Nio Day.

The Nio ET5 was the ninth best-selling premium sedan in China in November, with the ET7 at No. 8.
