Nio has an MPV model planned for its third-generation NT 3.0 platform, but the launch won't be anytime soon, the company's management said in a user communication.

Xpeng X9 starts at RMB 388,000 for pre-sales, with deliveries to begin in January, while Li Auto's Li Mega will be priced between RMB 500,000 and 600,000.

Li Auto said the Li Mega will be priced at less than RMB 600,000, with an official launch in December and deliveries starting in February.

The Xpeng X9 will compete head-to-head with the Li Mega, a Li Auto MPV that will also be unveiled and go on pre-sale on November 17, the first day of the Guangzhou auto show.

Xpeng will open up the MPV market to a younger demographic with the X9, said He Xiaopeng, chairman and CEO of the EV maker.

The first Zeekr 009 production vehicle rolled off the production line at Zeekr's Ningbo plant on January 8, and its delivery will begin shortly.

A spy video shows that Xpeng may be testing an MPV codenamed H93, which is expected to be released in the second half of 2023.

The Zeekr 009 MPV is available in two versions, with the highest-priced version powered by the CATL Qilin Battery with 140 kWh capacity and a CLTC range of 822 km.

Since the D9's official launch, the model has received more than 30,000 orders with non-refundable deposits, Denza said.

The Denza D9 is expected to deliver more than 3,000 units in October and 5,000-7,000 units in November, an executive said.
