Xpeng Motors' application to freeze the assets of a supplier, Beijing Linkdata Technologies, for RMB 39.54 million ($6.1 million) has been upheld by the court, according to data provider Tianyancha.

In 2020, CALB's installed capacity for GAC passenger cars reached 2,033.65 MWh and CATL shrinking to 824.69 MWh.

CALB confirmed it has received a patent lawsuit against the company by CATL, saying it has submitted a request for invalidation of those patents to the China National Intellectual Property Administration.

If CALB loses the lawsuit, its entire product line could be banned.

In a dispute with one of its battery suppliers, Xpeng Motors won the case and was awarded compensation.

Tesla was previously sued by an owner for alleged sales fraud, and now the final verdict shows that Tesla is required to return the purchase price of the car to the owner for RMB 778,200 ($120,304) and pay the same amount of compensation.

With the release from the five-day detention of a female owner who complained of brake failure, Tesla says it has contacted her family and will seek to initiate its next mediation as soon as possible.
