BYD favors Spain for its relatively low manufacturing costs and clean energy network, Reuters reported.

BYD plans to expand its Hungarian bus factory with an additional 29,000 square meters of production facilities, increasing annual capacity for electric buses and trucks.

The first model to be produced at BYD's Hungarian factory will be the Seagull. Europe's first 1-MW BYD chargers will be deployed next year.

BYD plans to add retail outlets in several Finnish cities to create a nationwide sales and service network.

BYD will delay mass production at its Hungarian EV plant until 2026 and will operate the plant below capacity for at least the first 2 years, according to Reuters.

The move will make BYD the first Chinese automaker to enter Europe's top luxury car market, Autocar reports.

The Seal 05 DM-i has been renamed Seal 5 DM-i and is BYD's second hybrid model in Europe.

BYD has launched the Atto 3, Seal, Sealion 7, and Seal U DM-i in Cyprus.
