Sinopec has more than 30,000 gas stations, ranking second in the world. It is ranked No. 2 on the 2019 Fortune 500 list of the world's largest companies.

Under the agreement, Nio will receive support from Red Star for the construction and operation of the stations in 2021.

In its November 13 issue, the Economic Information Daily, a subsidiary of China's state-owned Xinhua News Agency, devoted a rare two-part article to the same topic, praising the Nio-led battery swap model as the trend of the future.
