Li Auto finished the first half of the year with more than 130,000 units sold and does not have any ability to sell 400,000 vehicles for the full year, its CEO said.

The latest target means that in the second half of the year, Li Auto will need to deliver an average of about 45,000 units per month.

Li Auto aims to reach annual sales of 1.6 million vehicles and annual revenue of RMB 500 billion by 2025, its CEO said.

The Li L7 is a model that was nearly canceled during development, according to Li Auto CEO Li Xiang.

"We are confident that it will be the No. 1 seller of all passenger cars priced at RMB 500,000 ($70,160) or more, regardless of energy form and regardless of body form," Li Auto said.

The price of the Li L9 without LiDAR could be at least RMB 40,000 less than the Li L9 Max at RMB 459,800.

Li Auto CEO looks down on local peers, arguing that their sales are so low that they don't deserve to be taken seriously.

Li Auto's poster hints that it may announce developments related to its assisted driving system NOA, and a battery that supports ultra-fast charging.

Li Auto's Beijing plant is expected to see its first vehicle roll off the line by September, a local media report said in March.

Li Auto is preparing to open so-called "central stores" in select Chinese cities, moving away from its current model of opening only experience stores in shopping malls, local media said.
