Geely Auto's (HKG: 0175) premium electric vehicle (EV) unit Zeekr announced on Friday that its revamped Zeekr 009 MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) will officially launch on May 19.
The new-generation flagship MPV, aimed at consolidating Zeekr's position in the premium electric MPV market, will be available for customer test drives starting May 9.
The model opened for pre-sales on April 24, the first day of the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, though pre-sales prices were not disclosed. Zeekr's older 009 MPV starts at 439,000 yuan ($64,541).
The revamped Zeekr 009 offers three configurations, including a seven-seat Ultra version, a seven-seat Ultra+ version, and a six-seat Ultra+ Executive version, designed to meet the mobility needs of high-net-worth individuals.
The base seven-seat Ultra version features an 800-volt high-voltage architecture and is equipped with a 108-kWh Qilin Battery from CATL (HKG: 3750).
This version also features a built-in Nvidia Drive Thor-U assisted driving chip and the latest smart driving system.
The higher-end seven-seat Ultra+ and six-seat Ultra+ executive versions are upgraded to a 900-volt high-voltage architecture and equipped with 680-kilowatt dual motors.
The six-seat executive version adds Sofaro first-class aviation seats to further enhance the sense of luxury.
The new model can reach a top speed of 220 kilometers per hour and offers a driving range of 720 to 740 kilometers.
Zeekr hopes to maintain its lead in China's fiercely competitive premium EV market through these technology and configuration upgrades.
The Zeekr 009 is the brand's second model, originally launched on November 1, 2022, with deliveries beginning on January 15, 2023.
Over the past few years, the Zeekr 009 has undergone several updates.
