Li Auto's April deliveries remained largely flat from a year ago, as the company bets on a new model launching later this month and its international market expansion.

The Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker delivered 34,085 vehicles in April, edging up 0.43% from 33,939 a year earlier, but dropping 16.97% from 41,053 in March, according to data released on Friday.

In the first four months of the year, the company delivered 129,227 vehicles, recording a 1.91% year-on-year increase.

As of April 30, the company's cumulative deliveries reached 1,669,442 vehicles.

The April delivery performance represents Li Auto's third consecutive month of year-on-year growth, following year-on-year declines seen through most months of last year.

As deliveries stabilize, Li Auto is ramping up its strategic bets on overseas markets.

The company recently signed key partnership agreements with dealers in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. Its signature L-series extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) models will soon officially enter the Middle Eastern market.

Late last month, Li Auto also announced expansion plans in the Asia-Pacific region, targeting Cambodia, Laos, Macau, and Myanmar. The company plans to officially enter these emerging Asian markets starting later this month.

To bolster its product lineup, Li Auto debuted the all-new Li L9 Livis on April 24, the first day of the Beijing Auto Show. The flagship SUV is scheduled to officially launch and begin deliveries simultaneously on May 15.

The Li L9 Livis has a pre-sales price of 559,800 yuan ($81,980) and is equipped with two in-house developed 5-nanometer M100 smart driving chips.

Its computing power reaches up to 2,560 TOPS, aiming to enhance autonomous driving decision-making capabilities under complex road conditions.

On the production front, the manufacturing pace of Li Auto's pure electric SUV model, the Li i6, is accelerating significantly.

The company saw its 100,000th mass-produced Li i6 roll off the assembly line on April 10, having manufactured 20,000 units of the model in just 21 days.

Previously, as production bottlenecks were resolved, the monthly delivery volume of the Li i6 surpassed 24,000 units in March.

Li Auto has not yet released the April delivery figures for the Li i6.

As of the end of April, Li Auto had 511 retail stores in 160 cities across China.

The company also operated 4,077 super charging stations equipped with 22,509 charging stalls nationwide.

Li Auto CEO accused Dongfeng Nissan of orchestrating a smear campaign against its core models, prompting Chinese regulators to intervene.
