Li Auto gave its new flagship model — the Li L9 Livis — its public debut on the first day of the Beijing Auto Show on April 24, and announced the release schedule for the vehicle.
The Li L9 Livis will be officially launched on May 15, with deliveries starting simultaneously, the company said at a media briefing.
Inheriting Li Auto's unique family design, the model integrates multiple new technologies, representing the company's latest advancements in smart driving and electric vehicle technology.
Li Auto unveiled the model in February and began pre-sales at 559,800 yuan ($81,890).
The price is significantly higher than the current Li L9, which is offered in Pro and Ultra versions starting at 409,800 yuan and 439,800 yuan, respectively.
The dimensions of the Li L9 Livis have been further enlarged, measuring 5,255 mm in length, 2,000 mm in width, and 1,810 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,125 mm.
The model is equipped with two of Li Auto's in-house developed 5-nanometer M100 smart driving chips, delivering a computing power of 2,560 TOPS, far exceeding the capabilities of Nvidia's Thor-U used in the mainstream market.
This robust computing power, paired with four LiDAR sensors, enables the L9 Livis to make precise decisions under complex road conditions, according to the company.
The new car features Li Auto's in-house developed third-generation 1.5T range extender, which reduces fuel consumption to 6.3 liters per 100 kilometers, a decrease of nearly 20% compared to the current L9.
The Li L9 Livis is equipped with a 72.7 kWh battery pack, offering a CLTC pure electric range of 420 kilometers and supporting 5C supercharging.
With a full tank and full charge, the model's comprehensive range exceeds 1,500 kilometers.
The Li L9 Livis also features an 800-volt fully active suspension system, allowing each wheel to be raised or lowered independently, significantly enhancing the vehicle's stability and comfort.
The new car is equipped with a full drive-by-wire chassis system, including steer-by-wire, four-wheel steering, and an Electro-Mechanical Brake (EMB) system.
These innovative technologies not only improve the vehicle's handling but also mark important breakthroughs in safety.
Through multiple safety redundancy designs, it ensures that strong braking capabilities are provided even under extreme conditions, Li Auto said.
The Li L9 Livis embodies the company's vision for a flagship SUV in the era of embodied intelligence, achieving three cross-generational breakthroughs, Li Auto's founder, chairman, and CEO Li Xiang said previously.
